About Kuehne-Antiqua AR™

Details

What is the Kuehne-Antiqua AR™ font?

Kuehne-Antiqua AR is a digital transcription of a latin letter by Hans Kühne which was cast in 14-pt by the Gebr. Klingspor foundry in 1954. It is a distinguished pen-drawn type in which can be seen some of the style of the master-scribe Rudolf Koch from whom Hans Kühne took instruction. It is a humanist design which is as agreeable in all-capitals settings as in caps and lower-case. Its hand-drawn character renders it a superb type for formal, academic, nuptial, religious, and awards documents. The ARTypes fonts feature a complete range of accents, monetary signs, kerning letters, and original alternative letters; the alternative one-storeyed a and the alt. F are obtainable in the Kuehne-Antiqua-AR-Alt font (Mac PS and Windows TrueType) which is included for no extra charge.
