What is the Canterbury Old Style™ font?
This family has been replaced by the newer Canterbury Old Style Pro. The family was redrawn and refined in 2017, and features extended character sets that support Western, Central, and Eastern European languages.
In 1920, Morris F. Benton designed the original weight of Canterbury Old Style for American Type Founders (ATF). Raymond Vatter and Steve Jackaman, both of International TypeFounders (ITF), added a ‘Bold’ weight and produced the digital version in 1992 exclusively for the Red Rooster Collection. A full set of swash capitals were designed and released in 2003.
