What is the Auriol® font?
This type, released by Peignot in 1901, was based on the handwriting of the art nouveau painter and designer, Georges Auriol. The Peignot drawing office insisted on a more normal appearance in the boldface, calling it Robur. Matthew Carter has returned to Auriol’s original design for the whole series. The type is accompanied by the third of the three great series of type flowers, Auriol’s art nouveau patterns.Auriol® Font families
