What is the Antediluvian™ font?

The Antediluvian font family represents a modern typeface that is designed in accordance with the ancient world wide Alphabet that existed until approximately 11,500 BC. The present Roman Alphabet is not merely a collection of arbitrary characters made to represent sounds, but consists of ideographs derived from the oldest hieratic inscriptions. More… As the psychometrist is enabled by taking in his hand a small piece of fossil-bone to see and describe the animal of which it once formed a living part, so to the seeking individual these literal glyphs, that at one time constituted the frame work of living languages, reveal glimpses of the history of the Ancients, whose thoughts were crystallized about them. The remains of this Alphabet are still present for a large part in our Roman Alphabet. Like the ancient Hebrew and Chaldean Alphabet it still carries the pictures of star groups, as with the original Alphabet, which is of astrological origin. For example, H is derived from the sign of Pisces, M from Aquarius, V from Taurus, while O represents the Sun. The Antediluvian typeface connects to this ancient Alphabet by modifying or replacing those letters of our Roman Alphabet, that no longer correspond to the Ancient Glyph. This may leave the uninitiated reader puzzled for a moment, but the consistent similarity of most letters with the Roman standard will give the reader enough to go by, and possibly even evoke the subconscious recognition of the more ancient glyphs that unite the written history of mankind.
