What is the Amescote™ font?

On the border between formal and informal, Amescote is a fairly conventional sans-serif but it’s a font which has a bit of its own personality. An attempt has been made to avoid the blandness that can come with the rigidity of conformity, and some of the letters exhibit a restrained sense of liveliness, however care has been taken that this does not impair legibility. There are six weights - Regular and Bold, Heavy and HeavyBold, Ultra and UltraBold, each with an Italics version. More… A wide variety of languages is supported with the extensive set of accented characters. Ligatures/special characters include St. Rd. and Mr. The zip contains OTF and TTF versions - only install one version of a font on the same machine, either the OTF or TTF, but not both as that could cause various conflicts and erratic behaviour.
