What is the Smena font?

Smena was based on the lettering of the so called ‘calligraphic style’ that was very popular during the period 1940-1970. The style was used in logos, book and magazine headlines, posters, signage etc.
For use in advertising and display typography. Licensed by ParaType in 2006.

Is Smena A free font? Is Smena Free to Download?
