If you don’t know what Pokémon is, then you’ve probably been living on the Moon for the past 30 or so years. Pokémon is an insanely popular series of video games first released in 1996 in Japan. Due to the extreme popularity of the game, it has been merchandised into anime, manga, trading cards, toys, books etc.
The name Pokémon originates from its Japanese brand name Poketto Monsutā ポケットモンスター , meaning Pocket Monsters.
The Pokémon logo isn’t an actual font and was no doubt custom designed. There is a fan-made font named Pokemon that resembles the logo lettering.
