About PCTL4800

Details

What is the PCTL4800 font?

PCTL4800 is a technical sans-serif typeface. Good designers have a depository of orthodox, technical typefaces in their toolbox. Often, industrial fonts have visual hints that link them to a particular time period. A retro look isn’t always desirable, especially if you’re aiming for a contemporary or futuristic look. Not so with PCTL4800 whose sober, doctrinal design eschews retro baggage without resorting to corny techno gimmickry. PCTL4800 contains one preternatural aspect: the corner index notch. It’s meant to subtly suggest an unknown technical requirement to the reader—perhaps an orientation prompt like the notch in an SD card. If you prefer a more conservative look without the corner notch, try PCTL9600. PCTL4800 includes 6 weights and italics. Almost all current Latin based languages are supported, including Cyrillic languages and Greek.
