About Mascara™

Details

What is the Mascara™ font?

Mascara is one of those organic extremes that usually make people’s jaw drop in big silent awe. The way such things are built is usually quite simple, given the right software and/or tools. In this case, we superimposed the drawings from two of our unfinished script fonts, and merged their outlines to end up with a result of branches, grass, roots, or whatever it is one sees around the letter forms. More… Broken scripts like Mascara are normally used to issue one of many possible design statements, spanning quite a range of purposes, such as expressing an elegant confusion in a design’s overall mentality, showing mixed emotions through a scribal old-modern environment, maintaining an organic elegance in goth design, or simply emphasizing the personal element in a visual communication.
