What is the ITC Officina Serif® font?
ITC Officina Serif is definitely a typeface for the 1990s, made for the contemporary office.
Designer Erik Spiekermann is aware that not all type is read from crisp book or magazine pages under good light. Counters are open to avoid filling in and strokes and serifs are strongly drawn so they will not deteriorate, even at small sizes under the stress of copiers and fax machines. To accommodate more information on a page, the face is slightly condensed.
