About CushingTwo

Details

What is the CushingTwo font?

CushingTwo is the 6-font family designed for Fontographer: Practical Font Design for Graphic Designers: Regular, Oblique, Demi, DemiOblique, Bold, and BoldOblique. The two Demi variants will be listed separately in InDesign and the Creative Suite to keep things compatible with Office and such. More… The inspiration was a scan of the old Cushing No. 2 font in Felici’s article on CreativePro about 100 year oldtype. It’s a fun, open, large OpenType font of 370 characters with oldstyle figures, small caps, and small cap figures. It comes in a package with the .otf variant and the .ttf variant. Either of them should work on any platform which supports OpenType. The Web font package takes the regular and bold and makes a “normal four font family”: Regular, Italic, Bold, and Bold Italic. The OpenType characters are divided up into 2 fonts and a partial. CushingTwoOldstyle is the normal 8-bit font with oldstyle figures. CushingTwo SmCaps has small caps in an 8-bit font. CushingTwo SmCapFigures just has the small cap figures and currency glyphs. All three of these fonts come in the Web package.
