What is the Pan AR™ font?
Pan AR is based on a playful design by the great graphic artist and book designer Prof. Walter Brudi. The original types, with two sets of capitals, were cast in 14, 16, 20, 28, 48 point by the Stempel foundry in 1957.
The AR fonts – Pan AR 1 with roman capitals, Pan AR 2 with script capitals – are supplied together for the price of one. The script capitals and the close-fitting lower-case letters resemble letters cut in wood. Most the letters of the Stempel type were slightly kerned and the AR fonts mainly follow the original design. The AR fonts include the original ch, ck, tt, tz and f-ligatures and full sets of accents, monetary signs and other peculiars.
