About Oz Handicraft BT

Details

What is the Oz Handicraft BT font?

The Oz Handicraft™ family celebrates an unknown side of Oswald Cooper’s work. Best known for his seminal Cooper Black™ typeface, Cooper also designed several other typefaces. None, however, were sans serif designs. (He didn’t like them much.) But long before Cooper was crafting typeface designs, he was a sought-after and prolific lettering artist – and a few serifless examples crept into this work. Monotype typeface designer, George Ryan (who prefers to call himself a “letter drawer”) saw a bit of Cooper’s sans serif lettering in an old book and decided to correct the deficit in the artist’s typographic repertoire.
