What is the EARTH A.D. font?

It’s you and grandfather hiding out against a world gone mad! If you were reading comics in the seventies and eighties, you've seen these characters before, their slab serifs dispersed at seemingly random letter points, perplexing and amazing and entertaining you. It’s the birth bag of something very old and simple and uniquely functional. Here at last is a headline font collection unlike any other, the devil in the sand, a thing unattempted. Fully armed and massively kerned, there’s an influence afoot. Can you handle the dawning surprises of a new age? More… The Earth A.D. (After Disaster) family was inspired by the narrow yet heavy and open gothics penned by comic letterers primarily during the late 60s and early 70s. After Disaster, the original font that inspired this collection, is a great “reader” that stands proud and legible over its later incarnations. But comic letterers back then weren't prone or known to show comic readers much lowercase lettering. So inspiration was looked for and found not in the uppercase letters as others might have been tempted to do, but in the gothic styles of 30s and 40s signwriters. Even the numbers come from a legitimate source, lifted right off a vintage truck speedometer straight out of the 50s. So everything you see here is authentic. You just have to know where to look. From the original After Disaster font, six additional faces have spun themselves into existence over the years. This comprehensive package will put a total of seven fonts on your hard-drive, a well-rounded family that has proven itself a hit in signshops around the world since 1999. So it is with misty-eyed enthusiasm that it finally arrives here. And yes, to the fanboys who know what the not-so-hidden innuendos are all about: you're going to be very happy with this bunker full of faces.
