What is the Liesel™ font?

What happens when historical calligraphy and modern lettering kiss? Liesel! This eight-font, hand-lettered family is loosely based on traditional letterforms. Used alone, Liesel Regular reflects a warm, antique aesthetic. But when you pair her with Brush, Pencil, and Shadow - all of which were designed for layering - a modern, artistic look emerges! Experiment with textures, overlays and blending modes to create realistic water colored text. Both Liesel Printed & Liesel Shadow Printed are highly detailed, distressed versions of their solid counterparts, and can be layered to recreate an authentic letterpress or screen printed effect. Two bonus social media icon sets can be used in conjunction with Liesel or on their own for integrating into websites and business collateral. More… Opentype features programmed into each text font include contextual alternates, stylistic alternates, swashes, true fractions, and old style numerals. Social media icons are available as regular, evenly-inked characters, or distressed characters for a printed look. Each icon has a transparent background box version, a solid fill background box version, or a freestanding logo silhouette. Icons include Behance, Blogger, Deviant Art, Digg, Dribbble, Dropbox, Email envelope, Etsy, Evernote, Facebook, Flickr, Forrst, Github, Goodreads, Google Plus, IMDB, Instagram, Kickstarter, Instagram, Linked In, Paypal, Pinterest, Reddit, RSS feed, Skype, Soundcloud, Stack Exchange, StumbleUpon, Tumblr, Twitter, Vimeo, Vine, Wordpress, Yahoo and Youtube. Basic commands (Pin It, email, next, prev, and contact) are also included in both social media icon fonts. To use the social media icon fonts, simply type out the name of your desired social media service. Highlight your text and turn on either the swash feature, titling feature, or stylistic alternate feature to toggle between icon styles. Opentype coding will automatically swap out the name for the correct icon. Swash = silhouettes, Titling = transparent background boxes, Stylistic Alternates = solid background boxes. Contextual alternates enables navigation command wordart. Each Liesel font, including both social media icon fonts, have PUA coding so all characters, including swashes and alternates, can be accessed with Character Viewer (Mac), Character Map (PC) or PopChar.
