What is the Calmetta font?

Meet Calmetta, a reinterpretation of Pantograph, the wayfinding custom font we had originally designed for Manchester Metrolink. This is a typeface we were keen to revisit for our own library with the addition of an extensive range of matching icons. What immediately stood out to Elí Castellanos, who led the development of Calmetta, was “the warmth of the original design, those open apertures and soft corners that lent Pantograph a friendly voice and really pulled the viewer in.” More… At the same time, he felt it was necessary to expand the family with at least two more weights to enhance its versatility and make it more suitable for wayfinding.
